The book describes De Feo's work from 1955 to 1985, including important projects like the Circolo Aziendale of the RAI (1963), the design for the new town hall of Legnano (1974), and a house for D.K. (1980).
[Vittorio De Feo. Works and projects] The book describes the work of Vittorio De Feo from 1955 to 1985. A work with a calm pace, a procedure of tranquil progress. De Feo is “attracted by the deceptions and enigmas of vision; he studies the part of things that remains in shadow, glimpsing fleeting traces of other forms and images, of new illusions”, as Claudia Conforti writes in her essay. Rather than manifestos of architectural poetics, this architect opts for references to literature and history, examined with curiosity in his writings. Freedom and detachment, including irony, are the salient characteristics of his design approach, including many different techniques of representation, different figurative themes, without ever losing sight of architecture per se.
His most important works include the Circolo Aziendale of the RAI (1963), in collaboration with Pietro Reggiani, the design for the new town hall of Legnano (1974), and a house for D.K. (1980).
