Finally an exhibition on Vittorio Alfieri, an Italian writer of European stature, but also a great art collector and expert.

[Vittorio Alfieri. Aristocratic rebel (1749-1803)]. Finally an exhibition on Vittorio Alfieri, an Italian writer of European stature, but also a great art collector and expert. Works of very high artistic quality, accompanied by the comments of Alfieri himself, to reconstruct a picture of 18th-century Europe: literature and art combined in the life of a man of great cultural depth. Views and landscapes of cities and places visited, portraits of royalty with whom he was acquainted, of relatives, friends, of women he loved; reconstructions of the places and times in which Alfieri lived. Against a backdrop of paintings and sculptures by his contemporaries, artists who shared his ideals and were inspired by the characters in his poetic work.
