The first retrospective for an art duo considered leading figures on the art scene in Italy over the last fifteen years.

The first retrospective of the work of vedovamazzei, the duo composed of Simeone Crispino and Stella Scala. A selection of works to represent the artistic path of the two protagonists, and a group of new works made for the occasion. Since their debut in 1991, the work of vedovamazzei has been characterized by an explicit, corrosive impact, a highly experimental vision of art in which each work becomes a moment of poetic and political reflection on the human condition, a continuous challenge to conventions, gathering and relating, in an original way, a wide range of experiences, from contemporary history to cinema, literature to architecture, as well as scientific research and collective memory. The retrospective includes works of great visual impact, like the large chandelier-refuge entitled Climbing, the neon sign Bojinka, which transforms the code name of one of the most ferocious terrorist plots of recent years into a spectacular attraction, the video below which viewers can read the words of an anti-war song by Johnny Cash, and other works in which the subtly destabilizing spirit of vedovamazzei is clearly visible, like their bookcases, which disrupt their traditional function as supports.
