Twenty years since the debut of the new MINI, this volume traces the Italian history of the marque celebrating the first 20 years of production under the banner of the BMW Group, presenting a journey made up of images, conversations and contributions that turn the spotlight on the protagonists of the carmaker and their stories: from the communication of the first launch on 8 September 2001, to the interaction with the most contemporary ecosystems of fashion, cinema and design. The book collects content from design experts, journalists and communicators, including Massimo Bottura, Mario Calabresi, Aldo Colonetti and Michele Lupi.

The book documents the “journey through time” that has seen the MINI grow and establish itself model after model, confronting a constantly evolving social scenario, until it has become a complete range. By setting new benchmarks for the very concept of the car, the MINI has anticipated fashions, transported dreams and conveyed epochal revolutions in social behavior.

These pages also present the famous marketing campaigns and commercials dedicated to road safety, fusions with topical issues that already appeared in the early 2000s through numerous initiatives, such as the “MINI Design Award”, to the “green” revolution which will make the MINI the BMW Group’s first all-electric brand from 2030.

The Big Love is a tribute to the professionals who in these 20 years have contributed to making the brand a point of reference in Italy, far beyond the borders of the automotive world.
