At the Macro starting on 22 May, Tatsuo Miyajima presents a retrospective of five installations, including two made specifically for this show.
Since 1985 Tatsuo Miyajima has made installations composed of LEDs (light emitting diodes). The diodes blink in the dark, constantly changing the numerical figure represented, from 1 to 99, expressing the continuous alteration of things and their reciprocal relations. At the Macro Miyajima presents a retrospective of five installations, including two made specifically for this show. The works of Miyajima have been shown at many biennials, museums and galleries, including the Venice Biennial (1998 and 2001) and Centre Pompidou in Paris.
