[Politics and poietics for art] The book analyzes the main regulatory and political developments involved in the present debate on the themes of management and utilization of national cultural heritage. Above all, it narrates real experiences of public-private collaboration and direct experimentation, with specific reference to the Department of Archaeological Resources of Rome and the museums of Venice. Six years after the first application of the Ronchey Act, the author attempts to clarify, in the light of direct cultural management experience, the main topics in the friction between the public and private sectors, possible paths for integration between traditional policies and those considered “innovative”, and solutions for sustainable privatization.
