[Pier’Alli / The landscape of music] Director, set and costume designer, Pier’Alli works primarily in the field of musical theater. He is a true reference point in this area for the Italian and European avantgardes, thanks to his innovative experimentation.
Maurizio Buscarino, photographer, since the 1970s has worked intensely on contemporary theater in Europe, American and the Orient. In his archives one important section is set aside for Pier’Alli, who he considers a central figure in contemporary theater, as well as an esteemed friend.
This book is the result of the encounter of two personalities, in which the photographs of Buscarino “bear witness” to many of the important musical productions of Pier’Alli from 1986 to 1998.
