To make an assessment of the artistic creation of the last two decades of the 20th century is the challenge enthusiastically met by Giorgio De Marchis, curator of the show held in Milan “Milano Europa 2000”. Over one hundred artists from twenty countries have participated, with a great variety of works, genres, typologies, techniques and languages, ranging from photography to painting, sculpture to assemblage, performance to installation. The bilingual catalogue, with complete documentation and a fine series of critical contributions, becomes an important segment of the vast mosaic of the contemporary international art scene.
