The Gold Medal to the Italian architecture targets the the public promotion of contemporary architecture as the builder of environmental and civil quality and together it looks to architecture as a product of a vital dialogue between planner the purchasers and the contractor.
The Milan Triennale, with the DARC, General Direction for architecture and contemporary art sets up the second edition of the Prize “Gold medal to the Italian architecture”a triennial term event that aims to promote and to reflect on the new and more interesting worksbuilt in the country and on the protagonists who made them possible. The Gold Medal to the Italian architecture place itself as an active reflection on the planner’s role and of its works targeting to the public spreading in Italy and abroad of a new patrimony of constructions and ideas and together periodically verifying the state of the Italian architectural production, the directions, the problems and the new players. Among the participants to the prize: Studio Cerri, MassimilianoFuksas, Vittorio Gregotti, Renzo Piano, Studio Italo Rota,Cino Zucchi , Guido Canali, Corvino + Multari, and many others.
