Monograph on the restoration of the Roman theater of Brescia by the Milanese architect Giorgio Grassi: an exemplary project for an important, renowned monument.
[Giorgio Grassi. The Roman Theater of Brescia. Project of restitution and rehabilitation] The theater in Brescia reconstructed by Giorgio Grassi, who has also restored the Roman theater of Sagunto, Valencia. The book documents the phases of this complex architectural work: from the survey of the archaeological area to the design of the reconstruction on the ruins of the Roman theater. An exemplary operation, for an important, famous monument in Brescia. On the ruins, which were unearthed relatively recently, the project proposes an architectural restitution aimed at bringing out the specific elements of the structure and making it useful once again, without losing sight of the particular character of the place and its present condition in the city.
