A volume from the "Made in Italy" series dedicated to a designer who has developed a fashion that is rich but not opulent, inclined towards luxury but with a consistent feeling for precious fabrics with a strong personality.

[Gianfranco Ferré / The poetry of design] Dedicated to the protagonists of Italian creativity in the world of fashion, the “Made in Italy” series, of which this volume is part, aims to enter the world and the creative logic of each designer, analysing the different ways of conceiving elegance and of living with a true “lifestyle”.
In harmony with his lifestyle, Ferré has developed a fashion that is rich but not opulent, inclined towards luxury but with a consistent feeling for precious fabrics with a strong personality – organza, silk and linen – and for surprising volumes, often obtained with micro-binding and macro-detail expertly combined. Because of his bright sense of emphasis and deep culture of luxury and design, he was appointed to the artistic management of the House of Dior in 1989, where he remained for eight years until he decided to devote himself more fully to the development of his own label.
