Elio Fiorucci (Milan, 1935-2015) was the origin a veritable magnet for a constellation of new, irreverent, and revolutionary ideas that, starting from the mid-1960s, influenced the fashion trends and languages of generations of young people around the world. His concept stores, besides offering the public an eclectic combination of clothing, records, books, magazines, and exotic objects, were the points of reference for happenings and performances: stages capable of appealing to intellectuals, performers, musicians, and artists.
