The dialogue between the subject represented and the exhibition building, resulting in continuous two-way interaction between the place, the work and its contents.
For this new project in Turin, Alessandro Busci presents 50 new iron structures which are icons of the contemporary city: the spectacular Beijing Stadium, industrial archeology at Battersea Power Station in London, airports, motorway service stations, and buildings poised between past and present, like the Lingotto in Turin. The setting for these works is the fascinating former Arsenal in the Borgo Dora district, which highlights the dialogue between the subject represented and the exhibition building, resulting in continuous two-way interaction between the place, the work and its contents.
Alessandro Busci was born in Milan in 1971. He graduated in Architecture and, since 1997, has been working with Atelier Mendini. He has held personal exhibitions in Milan, Madrid, Bilbao, London, Bordeaux and San Francisco.
