In the severe 17th-century palazzo of Casa Buonarroti, the museum contains masterpieces by Michelangelo, including the marble reliefs Madonna of the Steps and Battle of the Centaurs, and the world’s largest collection of drawings by the artist. Visitors can also admire the fine collection of paintings, sculptures, majolica and archaeological pieces, put together across the generations of the Buonarroti family.
