Giving account of both the many bad examples and the few good ones, the author insists on the civil importance of the commitment in the defence of territory, of landscape, of historic centres and of the artistic and archaeological heritage during the last twenty years
Adopting the structure of a journal, recording each place and time, this book – which should have been entitled Chronicles from Bel Paese – aims to draw the attention of public opinion and governors to problematic subjects such as the battles in defence of a good administration of the national heritage.
The book is divided in chapters dealing with different topics: the so called natural and artificial disasters, the proper and improper uses of artistic and archaeological heritage; the old and the new legislation about Cultural Heritage and finally the role of tourism in Italy
