Argent de poche Raccolta di racconti

Argent de poche

A collection of previously unpublished short stories by young writers on the word "money", as part of the Università IULM project "Word of the Year".

Telling stories about money. Telling stories with money. Telling stories on money. Money as protagonist or supporting star in a narrative. Illusion and obsession. Totem or taboo.

Argent de poche is a collection of short stories created by the initiative promoted by the Università IULM born from the Word of the Year 2019 project that made “money” its word of the year. Among the many young people who took part at a national level, eleven authors were selected who wrote stories about money in its multiple aspects, delving into its abstract mutability. Some took a banknote and made it into a character, endowing it with eyes, words and point of view, while others made it a formless, elusive ghost. Some treated it as an artifice and others as a mirage. Some as a means and others as an end.

The eleven tales contained in this volume are the result of an exploration that investigates with captivating imagination the incessant turbulence of money in its most colourful keys, wrestling with its intrinsic and attractive liquidity.
