The volume, published by Electa, for the homonymous exhibition (Triennale Milano, October 6, 2023 – January 7, 2024) documents with essays, interviews, photos, prototypes, drawings and unpublished material over forty years of activity of Alberto Meda, an Italian engineer and designer who lives in Milano.
The texts tell and analyze his compositional and methodological futures, whose poetics develops following a series of threads such as the constant search for lightness—visual and constructive—, the attention to the integration of functions, the technology conceived as a source of suggestions, the project of the immaterial component of light, and the evolved and extended concept of comfort.
The catalogue is completed by a summary of Meda’s main projects, with entries and a rich iconographic repertoire.
Texts by Riccardo Blumer, Rolf Fehlbaum, Tullia Iori, Ezio Manzini, Marilia Pederbelli, Marco Sammicheli.
