Technical data, synopsis, comment and director’s biography for each film in four sections: Venice 68 (In Competition), the traditional International Festival and the jury that will award the Golden Lion and other official prizes; Fuori Concorso (Out of Competition), the year’s most important works by established directors; Orizzonti, the competition section, focusing on new trends in world cinema, from this year also open to short films and “different formats”. Controcampo italiano, new trends in the Italian cinema; a jury will award the Controcampo italiano prize. Al Pacino will receive the Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker 2011 award. Bernardo Bertolucci will present this year’s Golden Lion Lifetime Achievement award to the director Marco Bellocchio.
