Preserved in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Naples and set up again in 2009, the La Collezione Farnese is one of the largest collections of ancient sculptures formed during the Renaissance, perhaps the largest that has remained substantially intact, although today far from its original location. Visitors are able to follow an itinerary that that winds through the different locations that over time have hosted the Collection following the events. Along this path they can appreciate the outstanding examples of excellence, the many works of the highest quality that mark its stages, and at the same time perceive the interests and themes of the culture of the period, and through them approach ancient sculpture and understand its current interpretation.
