Production, declined in the themes of post-production, producers, pauses and products, is the theme of the second edition of the biennal Photos/Industry organised and promoted by the MAST foundation.
From October 3rd to November 1st 2015, fourteen exhibitions dedicated to industrial photography were open in twelve different locations across Bologna’s historical city centre and at the poly-functional MAST foundation centre. The biennale Foto/Industria is curated by François Hébel, who, since 2014, has been in charge of the Arles Rencontres de la photographie. The catalogue consists of a collection of critic’s reviews documenting every detail of the exhibition, the photographers involved and their work. A list of the exhibitions, locations and photographer’s involved includes David LaChapelle (Pinacoteca Nazionale) and Hong Hao (MAMbo); Production: Edward Burtynsky (Palazzo Pepoli Campogrande), O. Winston Link (Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna) and Luca Campigotto (Spazio Carbonesi); Producers: Pierre Gonnord (Santa Maria della Vita), Neal Slavin (Spazio Carbonesi) and Gianni Berengo Gardin (Fondazione del Monte); Pausa, Kathy Ryan (Museo Internazionale e Biblioteca della Musica) and Jason Sangik Noh (Villa delle Rose); Products: Hein Gorny (Museo della Storia di Bologna) and Léon Gimpel (Museo di Palazzo Poggi).
