The architecture of Carlo Scarpa, the photographs of Arno Hammacher: images that interact and enrich one another, with a surprising range of interpretations and meanings.

[Carlo Scarpa / the Museum of Castelvecchio] The description of the present museum itinerary, for an understanding of the logic of the subdivisions of the collections, and that of the restoration by Carlo Scarpa. Designed in 1964, Scarpa’s architecture at Castelvecchio is composed of paths, but also of “cuts” that isolate, define and separate the various parts of the building and its history. Open, dynamic forms, a sort of architectural cubism aimed at recovering the original elements of the spatial forms, shedding light on their dialogue with nature and history.
The guide features color photographs by Arno Hammacher.
