Palazzo Bricherasio] Back in Italy after 25 years, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, the artists renowned all over the world for their environmental projects of “wrapping and draping”. Their collaboration has brought about major works covering buildings, open spaces and objects, including the famous Wrapped Reichstag in Berlin and the Wrapped Pont Neuf in Paris.
Turin has hosted the major retrospective “Christo & Jeanne-Claude. Early Works 1958-1969 and works in progress”, and Electa, in collaboration with the Guy Pieters Gallery, has published, for the occasion, the three volumes The Gates, Over the River and Wrapped Floors and Stairways, and Covered Windows illustrating the installation created by the two artists for Palazzo Bricherasio.
The three books, in a boxed set, offer the possibility of retracing the evolution of the fascinating activity of these two artists.
