[Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna in Rome / Guide] The book presents a history of the gallery and a close examination of the arrangement of its nineteenth-century and twentieth-century sections. The new guide consists of a brief yet precise and detailed history of the gallery from when it was first founded after the Unification of Italy, passing through the glorious years when Palma Bucarelli was its curator up to the more recent initiatives that have contributed to shaping the present-day collection. This is followed by a detailed description of the layout of the gallery and completed by an index of artists and a select bibliography.
