Stefania Galegati’s first Italian solo exhibition will open at the MACRO in Rome, in May, where she will present a project conceived specifically for one of the museum’s Panorama rooms. Stefania Galegati is one of Italy’s young rising stars. Since making her debut in a group exhibition in Milan in 1994, she has established herself as one of the most promising talents on the contemporary art scene. She was one of the youngest students at the Brera Academy, and was awarded many prizes and chosen to participate in group exhibitions, finally winning the Giovane Arte Italiana (Young Italian Art) prize in 2000.
