An analysis of the works created by Mario Ridolfi together with Wolfgang Frankl, to celebrate the centenary of Ridolfi's birth.
[Architecture by Ridolfi and Frankl / Works and Projects] To celebrate the centenary of Ridolfi’s birth, Cellini and D’Amato offer their personal reading of the works Mario Ridolfi designed with Wolfgang Frankl. A selection of drawings are reproduced on a large scale to fully convey the beauty and richness of details and solutions. The volume presents a broad anthology of the works executed over sixty years, from 1924 to 1984. These range from formative projects to theoretical research, socially-committed undertakings during the early postwar period, residential and community projects, and architectural and urbanistic works for the cities of Terni, Treviso and, lastly, Marmore. As well as a detailed biography and bibliography, the volume also contains a collection of writings and interviews with Ridolfi and Frankl that express their thoughts on architecture and their profession from 1943 until the end of the 1980s.
