This exhibition intends to examine the cultural and spiritual context of Brescia during the Renaissance.
Next to outstanding artworks by Moretto da Brescia, possibly the greatest representative of Brescia’s religious culture in the first half of the Sixteenth Century, this exhibition will display ancient books and Sixteenth-century engravings. Moreover, it will show Lucrezia Borgia’s letters addressed to her correspondents in Brescia and the precious shrine keeping a lock of her hair, coming directly from the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan.
