Danae is the most irreverent festival of the contemporary women's scene to invade the city of Milan. An original and highly entertaining mixture of performing arts, with shows billed in various venues in Milan. To mark the 10th Danae Festival, the Teatro delle Moire is producing a concept book which reflects the development of contemporary theater in Italy and abroad using articles and photographs.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of both the Danae Festival and its association with the Teatro delle Moire, the underlying theme of the catalog is the number Ten. The ten chapters which follow the introduction by Sara Chiappori, a journalist who works for the La Repubblica newspaper, have titles that refer to parts of the human anatomy, the first letters of which (in Italian) form an acronym of the words DANAE MOIRE (Diastema, Alveoli, Nucleo ambiguo, Aurìcola, Epitelio, etc.). The articles are written by ten authors: Daniele Del Pozzo, Mariangela Gualtieri, Michele Di Stefano, Danio Manfredini, Paolo Ruffini, Gianni Manzella, Luca Scarlini, Marinella Guatterini, Paolo Dalla Sega, and Alessandro Bergonzoni.
