The photographer Luigi Spina illustrates the construction of a building designed during the two decades of fascist rule in its tormented evolution
The volume does not deal with the technical-manualistic aspects of construction
nor the methodological-disciplinary issues. Instead it highlights the numerous
spatial effects of the phases of construction, captured by photography, at random
and over a period of time.
It is also the chronicle of the issues faced by an
architect before the concreteness of the building.
A further subject dealt with will be the continuous architectural modifications to
the building and chequered uses, inevitably bound up with its evolution in time.
