In his essay to this updated and expanded book about the work of architect Sivigliano Guillermo Vázquez Consuegna (born Seville, 1945).

In his essay to this updated and expanded book about the work of architect Sivigliano Guillermo Vázquez Consuegna (born Seville, 1945), Victor Pérez Escolano insists on the rigorous nature of his work, despite the fact that various stages of development can be discerned in his career. As a young man, he was influenced by the theories put forward in the 1960s by Italian architects such as Aldo Rossi, Carlo Aymonino and Giorgio Grassi. His works, which are expressions of an ever-more concise architectural language, include urban projects such as the waterfront at Vigo, and the Museo de la Illustració in Valencia, but also two buildings that opened recently: the Museo Nacional de Arqueologia Subacuatica in Cartagena and the Visitors Center for the archaeological site of Baelo Claudia at Bolonia.
